Children’s Ministries

We have a wonderful and dedicated group of volunteers who facilitate the Children’s Church School program. We invite you to bring your children to enjoy the lessons and crafts.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can view our Children’s videos and lessons through our Web Site. Each week a new lesson is shared on line facilitated by Debbie Jones-Snyders for your children.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these".

Mark 10: 14: The Little Children and Jesus

Nursery Care

A bright, staffed nursery is available for infants and toddlers (age 3 and under). A variety of toys and books for young children are available. The Nursery also includes a change table, a crib, child rocking chairs, and child sized tables and chairs. Infants and toddlers may go straight to the Nursery at the beginning of worship, or they may stay with their families until the time when all children go to Church School.

Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Church School (ages 4 and up)

Christian Education for school aged children is an important ministry at Hopedale Presbyterian Church. Volunteers teach children under the guidance of the Bible, Prayer, and Children's Christian Education Programs. The children learn about God’s Word by participating in prayer, song, bible stories, discussions and sharing, drama, arts and crafts, and games. On Sunday mornings, the children attend the beginning of the worship service and leave for their Church School class after their time with the Minister. Church School operates from September through June. During the summer, children can meet together for a story, a colouring activity, and play.
